Miniature Donkey Sculpture -Polymer clay and fiber

This little brown donkey was created by hand in a miniature scale of 1:12 (one inch = twelve inches) using polymer clay over an armature of foil & wire.  It stands at a wee bit over 3 inches in height to tips of its long ears.  After curing in the oven, the polymer sculpture was painted in acrylics and a natural coat of brushed alpaca fiber was applied (layer by layer) using scissors, tweezers and glue.  This donkey was given a wire-based, pose-able tail and an open mouth feature which allows it to grip a variety of miniature props (like this mini bag of potato chips).  **It was created as a special commission**
